Crew Welfare- Collaborative Action Towards Sustainable Wellbeing

Crew welfare is increasingly recognized as being central to a safer and more sustainable yachting industry. This session will look at how data and insights are being used to shape projects, resources, and initiatives designed to meet the real needs of those working onboard.

Industry leaders Laura Beard (ISWAN), Christophe Bourillon (PYA), and Joey Meen (IAMI GUEST) will discuss why cultural and behavioral change is key to building a future where wellbeing is not an afterthought, but a priority. The panel will present how collaboration within the sector has driven the formation of the Changing Tack and its evolution as a Superyacht Alliance Think Tank, a platform dedicated to driving progress.
Alongside an overview of ISWAN’s work across global maritime sectors and the important role of welfare education, the session will place emphasis on crew perspectives. Hearing directly from crew voices is vital to building practical solutions that support sustainable wellbeing across the superyacht industry
